Our Team

Tennessee Crush

It all began with two guys, an empty football field and a dream to have the best minor league team/program anywhere. That dream became a reality in 2005 when the Tennessee Pioneers under ownership of Chris Carter made their debute against the Atlanta Aggression. It was a hard fought loss of 16-10 to the undefeated and division champions. Under new ownership of Tracey Rico the Tennessee Pioneers captured their first ever division title in the USFL. On November 18th, 2007 the Pioneers played their last game together in a benefit bowl game. The "Garden Bowl" introduced Cleveland to the new name and logo for the Tennessee Crush.

In 2008, the Tennessee Crush played their first full season in Cleveland, Tennessee on their new home field courtesy of Cleveland High School. The season was going great as the Crush were the number one ranked team in the league at 7-1 as well as being ranked nationally. The Crush season came to a hault with two regular season games and playoffs still within reach when the owner placed a self-imposed penalty on the team for a theft that took place in the high school locker room. The Crush withdrew from the USFL with their record for the 2008 Season at 7-1 and joined the IAFL for the 2009 Season.

The Tennessee Crush are members of the IAFL, a Minor League Development Program for players trying to reach different levels of professional football including but not limited to the AFL, AFL2, CFL and NIFL. As the 2007 North Division Champions the Tennessee Crush are looking forward to the 2009 Season.

Future Vision

Nstone Sports, Home of the Tennessee Crush, looks to use the accomplishments of the Crush to raise funds and awareness for a variety of organizations. The first Garden Bowl proceeds were donated to Bradley Healthcare & Rehabilition for their outdoor garden fund. Read more
